Our mission, led by Chef Brendan Mooney, is to help you “Dine Well at Home” with tested, scalable, and inspiring recipes.

Before you dive into the Supper Club or grab a Dinner Party Kit, please take a few minutes to read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

They are a binding legal agreement between you (the “User,” “you,” or “your”) and “Recipes.Live”] (ABN: (Coming Soon) (“Recipes.Live,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using our website (canapes.app) (the “Website”), becoming a member, or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, you must not use our Website or services.

1. Our Services Explained

Recipes.Live is a digital media platform that offers:

  • “The Supper Club” Membership: A premium subscription service for exclusive content, community access, discounts, and more (“Membership”).
  • Digital Product Downloads: A la carte purchasable content like Digital Dinner Party Kits, Ebooks, and Meal Planners (“Digital Products”).
  • E-commerce Store: A place to buy Recipes.Live branded promotional products, which are fulfilled by a third-party Print-On-Demand (POD) service (“Merchandise”).
  • Public Content: Free recipes, articles, and videos available to the general public.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your password confidential and secure.
  • Take full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

3. “The Supper Club” Membership & Subscriptions

a. Subscription Billing: Our Memberships are offered on a recurring subscription basis (e.g., monthly or annually). By signing up, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the recurring subscription fee at the then-current rate.

b. Billing Cycle: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (e.g., monthly or annually) unless you cancel it.

c. Cancellation: You may cancel your Membership at any time through your account dashboard. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. You will continue to have access to member benefits until that time.

d. No Refunds for Subscriptions: Payments for Memberships are non-refundable and there are no credits for partially used subscription periods.

e. Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our subscription fees. We will provide you with reasonable advance notice of any price changes, and you will have the opportunity to cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

4. Digital Products & E-Commerce

a. Digital Products (Kits, Ebooks, etc.):

  • Payment: All purchases of Digital Products are final and must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
  • Delivery: Digital Products will be made available to you for download after payment is successfully processed.
  • No Refunds: Due to the instant, digital nature of these products, all sales of Digital Products are final and strictly non-refundable.

b. POD Merchandise:

  • Third-Party Fulfilment: Our Merchandise is produced, sold, and shipped by a third-party Print-On-Demand partner.
  • Separate Terms: Your purchase of Merchandise may be subject to the terms, shipping policies, and return policies of our third-party partner. We do not handle shipping, returns, or exchanges for Merchandise.
  • Disclaimer: We are not responsible for the quality, delivery, or any other aspect of the Merchandise fulfilled by our POD partner.

5. Intellectual Property (Our “Chef-as-Curator” Moat)

This is the heart of Recipes.Live. Our content is our craft.

a. Ownership: All content on this Website, including but not limited to all recipes, text, graphics, logos, images, video tutorials, audio, digital guides, and software (collectively, the “Content”), is the exclusive property of Recipes.Live and Chef Brendan Mooney. It is protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

b. Your Limited Licence: Your Membership or purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content for your personal, non-commercial home use only.

c. Strict Prohibitions: This licence is strictly limited. You must not, under any circumstances:

  • Share, sell, rent, or republish any of our Content, especially member-only recipes or Digital Products. This includes posting them on other websites, forums, or social media.
  • Distribute or transmit the Content to any other person.
  • Use any Content for any commercial purpose (e.g., in your own restaurant, catering business, or blog) without our express prior written consent.
  • Create derivative works from our Content.
  • Use our Content to train or inform any artificial intelligence (AI) model or similar system.
  • Remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices.

We built this brand on trust and professional testing. Violating these terms seriously harms our business (and our future B2B “Digital Menu Media” service) and will result in the immediate termination of your account and licence, without refund, and may subject you to legal action.

6. User-Generated Content (Community Forums)

If you participate in our community forums or Q&A sessions, you may post comments, questions, or other content (“User Content”).

  • You are solely responsible for your User Content.
  • You agree not to post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene, or infringes on another’s rights.
  • By posting User Content, you grant Recipes.Live a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content in connection with the Website and our services (e.g., to feature a great question).
  • We reserve the right to remove any User Content for any reason.

7. Important Disclaimers

a. Recipe Results Disclaimer: We test our recipes thoroughly to ensure they work. However, cooking is a variable art and science. Factors like oven temperatures, ingredient variations, equipment, and your own skill can affect the final result. We do not guarantee that your results will be identical to ours. You are responsible for your own cooking.

b. Nutritional, Costing & Compliance Disclaimer: Our recipes (using tools like WP Recipe Maker) may provide automated nutritional information, cost estimates, or other data. This information is provided as a general guide and estimate only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or financial advice. We are not responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on this automated information. Always consult a qualified professional for specific dietary or medical advice.

c. Food Safety Disclaimer: You are solely responsible for following safe food handling, preparation, and storage practices. Recipes.Live is not liable for any illness, injury, or loss resulting from your preparation or consumption of food based on our recipes.

d. Website Provided “As Is”: We provide our Website and services “as is” and “as available,” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws, Recipes.Live (including Chef Brendan Mooney, our directors, and employees) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of our Website or services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) AUD $100.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our services, without refund, at any time and for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing to use our Website.

Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) will survive any termination.

10. Governing Law
